At the initial consultation, patients will meet Dr. Spiegel lectures and facilitates in several courses at the Boston University School of Medicine, is course director for the Boston University School of Medicine Head and Neck Surgery research rotation, is Director of Clinical Operations for Otolaryngology- Head and Neck Surgery, and sees head and neck surgery and facial cosmetic surgery patients at Boston Medical Center. Numa is a double Board Certified Facial Plastic Surgeon who is known by both his patients and colleagues as a surgeon who strives to achieve an aesthetically pleasing, and natural-appearing result in the surgical rejuvenation of the aging face, neck and eyes, and rhinoplasty surgery. Ezzat spends time with each patient to develop a tailored approach to improving aesthetics and function. Fellows also play an active role in resident education. Applicants must have completed a residency in an approved plastic surgery resident program and be able to satisfy all of the requirements for licensure by the Massachusetts Board of Medical Registration and the credentialing verifications of Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center BIDMC. Fellowship directors are recognized authorities in the teaching and practice of facial plastic surgery. How long the effects of these procedures last vary from person to person, as do the initial results. All other requirements outlined under application process will be required. No application will be accepted after the March 1st late deadline. This may be performed in the hospital setting or sometimes in the clinic setting. More severe deformities may require surgery to prevent drying of the eye and restore facial appearance at rest. The arteries and veins that supply blood to the tissue are reconnected to an artery and vein near the affected area.

The Fellowship Data Base system is a requirement of the fellowship program from the beginning of the application process to the end of completion of all fellowship requirements. If excess tissue on the upper eyelids obstructs vision and the patient meets specific criteria, the procedure may be covered by insurance. By combining training and experience in reconstructive and cosmetic surgery, our surgeons are able to offer improvements in both form and function for the patient. Passing the examination will not of itself meet eligibility requirements for certification in the future by the ABFPRS.
